I have just had my first taste of the real world of the commercial world. To get anywhere in the industry you really need to know people. I tried to contact over 10 different studios in sydney and got a 100% fail rate. I contacted them by phone calls and emails the responses where better through email as i could send them my work and see that I have some idea what im doing. By phone was a complete fail as they probably though i was another high school kid asking for work experience.

I now know when i decided to jump into the deep end and start to get my own commercial jobs or even tring to find a job assisting a commercial photographer I will need to have to contacts to get anywhere.

I have made contact with 4 different sydney studios and none have accepted me as a work placement =[=[

I have emailed Gavin Blue but im not sure if i can afford to make it down to melbourne

I tried to make contact with esh photogrpahy but they are on a break because the owner is on maternity leave

Just got turned down from Studio Commercial in Sydney

Blue Murder Studios

I have just been denied from blue murder studios in sydney.........

They said they are full for the whole year with work experience.

I was really hoping to get this one as they shoot alot of bands and alot of commercial work that appeals to me.
